Logline: A young man tries by any means necessary to escape the horribleness of his life.
The uprrising on the olive planet reaches the town "Taubez" and the boy Jihad catches on and joins it. Jihad lives in his father's cage, the lieutenant colonel, who treats him like a soldier. Under these circumstances, Jihad dreams of becoming a footballer. Horror and surrealism mingle in a war and search for happiness.
Shehab developed the script in 2021 during Corona pandemic and made it to his graduation project. Later he met the animatior Yann Le Bot (Cologne), the illsutrator Nourhan Sondouk (Barcelona) and the sound designer Tioma Tchulanov (Paris) and they worked together on this film which won the Folkwang Prize as a graduation project and was premiered at the Recklinghausen Ruhr festspiele 2022.
This project was finanzed by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Norbert Janssen foundation.
